The service was good. The ambience is fun and appropriate. The food is good, but the restaurant that was on Monte Vista was a 10. I wish that that restaurant was still open. Miss the food. Miss the servers and miss the good times there.

My daughter and I were in LA for the holiday weekend and we were both craving Mexican. La Fuentes was a short walk from our hotel so we gave it a shot. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our orders did not take long and were delicious. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was great. I will be returning.

I can't believe I have not reviewed La Fuente before! When I was living in Eagle Rock I was here at the bar on a regular basis. If you're looking for Mexican comfort food, you'll find it here. The margaritas are made using a bottled mixer so I can't have them. I order a vodka soda instead. Sometimes the chips are fresh and sometimes they are a bit stale. They come with two types of salsas - mild & spicy. Both have a good flavor but spicy is my favorite. Me gusta muy caliente. The beans are tasty, guac is fresh, rice is soft & fluffy, flour tortillas are good, and the portions are generous. I recently had the Camarones a la Diabla, which was delicious. If you like spicy, I recommend it. La Fuente is family owned. My sister went to school with one of the daughters. The staff are always friendly and helpful, which is why I'm bumping this from a 3.5 to 4 stars. It's located in a strip mall, so parking can be tight depending on the time but street parking is also available.

This place is a hidden gem! The environment is nice and clean! The food is wonderful too. The ceviche was 10/10 and a huge portion for the price. The servers were friendly and welcoming. I'm from out of town but would come back if I lived here
